Small-part finishing for factories in Bang Phli and King Kaew

Bang Phli is not one fenced estate — it is a supplier belt. Plots along King Kaew and Bangna–Trat hold tier-two and tier-three shops working to somebody else’s drawing, and that drawing is what we work to as well.

We run one plant, and it is in Samut Sakhon. This page covers collection and delivery for customers in Samut Prakan — it is not a branch or a facility in Samut Prakan.

IEAT-designated covers both estates operated by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand and joint-operation estates run with a private developer. A dash means we could not confirm a single status for the whole area — some of these names describe a factory district rather than one designated estate.

A dash in the port row means the estate sits inland between two ports and we will not guess which is nearer. Nothing on this page is a distance, a drive time or a delivery-time promise.

What this estate is

The Bang Phli and King Kaew area grew around the Bangna–Trat highway and the airport district rather than inside a single designated estate, which is why the IEAT row on this page is left blank: an IEAT-designated estate and privately developed plots sit side by side here, and one yes-or-no answer would be wrong for half the area. The mix is automotive parts, metalworking and machinery, and the shops are usually a link or two below an assembler — they receive a specification rather than write one.

What this estate asks of a small part

Working below a tier-one changes what matters. The property class on the drawing is not negotiable, the hardness has to land inside a band somebody else set, and the paperwork has to survive being forwarded up the chain. So most Bang Phli work is quench-and-temper to a specified ISO 898-1 class followed by Cr3+ zinc, with de-embrittlement baking wherever the class or the hardness crosses the ISO 4042 trigger. We return the lot with its own test record rather than a generic statement, because that record is what your customer audits.

Part types we run for this estate

Every part type below has its own page. The ones named in the glance table are the ones this estate’s industry mix calls for most — the rest we still run.

End markets on this estate

Each end market has its own spec drivers — property classes, salt-spray hours, governing standards.

Corridor, port and collection

The area feeds off Bangna–Trat and the King Kaew branch, and the nearest sea port by geography is Bangkok Port at Khlong Toei. Bang Phli district also contains Suvarnabhumi Airport, so a share of the parts made here leave by air, which usually means smaller, cleaner, appearance-sensitive lots and tighter packing instructions. Tell us how the lot leaves your plant and we will pack it that way.

Questions we get from this estate

Is Bang Phli an industrial estate or not?+

Both, depending on the plot. There is an IEAT-designated estate in the area and there are privately developed industrial plots along King Kaew and Bangna–Trat. We left the IEAT row on this page blank rather than pretend one answer covers the whole district — for finishing work it makes no difference, but for permits and incentives it does, so check your own title.

Our customer specifies class 10.9. Does that change the plating?+

Yes. ISO 4042 calls for embrittlement-relief baking on electroplated fasteners at class 10.9 and above, or at roughly 390 HV, and the bake has to start as soon as possible after plating. If your customer allows it, a non-electrolytic finish removes the electrolytic hydrogen source altogether. Either way the drawing decides, and we follow it.
